So what do you use and set to and what other programs and settings out there should I know about?Īlso, don't warrant its own thread but my monitor has a maximum reported refresh rate of 75Hz.
Basically I want it comfortable with tru colour representation but also when gaming I dont' want it too dark that I can't see stuff and enemies etc but don't want it too bright that it looks washed out or I get eye strain. I currently have it on the Auto Smart thingymabob (can you tell that I don't know much about it?) and I think its looks horrible but it may be because it has been too bright for too long etc and I'm used to it another way so I'm sticking with it for a while to see how I get on. (main hdmi port is being used up by my vive) After searching a bit I found these settings and applied them: Scenery Mode. I use a GTX1070 and it's connected through a display port using an hdmi cable with adapter. I'm running an Asus VS247 and have been playing with the settings. Press Menu on the monitor to open the Monitor Setup window, then press Menu again. Today I got an Asus VS247HR Monitor and first thing I noticed was that it was WAAY too bright. I mean re the colour reproduction and all that jazz with the auto programs that are meant to give you the best image all the time. Had a little look and couldn't find a thread for it so I thought I'd ask what sort of settings you folks are using for your monitors.
